Volunteer in Costa Rica
Costa Rica is widely known as a destination of great biodiversity, great beaches, warm culture, and stunning natural wonders. By joining our volunteer program in Costa Rica you will be able to experience Costa Rica in a very different and authentic way, immersing yourself in the “tico”(Costa Rican) way of life.

When does the program start?
Programs in Costa Rica start almost any Sunday Except the last two weeks in December,major holidays and Easter week.

Where do I fly?
Airport pickup is included at San Jose airport,(Juan Santa Maria airport Code: SJO) and nearby hotels.
General requirements
All participants must be over 18 years old at the time they start their program
Some programs require basic Spanish knowledge.
Internships have their requirements related to their field, for more information please see the individual program description.
Duration
Programs are available from 2-24 weeks, although some programs have a minimum of a 4 week commitment.
Why pay to go join a program?
Included in your program are housing, food, orientations, emergency support, transport from the airport, pre-departure support, and more.
Your fees go into paying our kind staff, teachers, legal fees, taxes, host families, your food, transportation, internet, phone bills, other utilities, maintenance, rental space, insurance, office supplies, the volunteer application process, emergency support, arranging and designing all of our programs, infrastructure, maintaining our website, making promotional material,and much much more.
But most importantly, these fees go into making sure you have a great experience and everything runs smoothly.
Language
Spanish is the official language of this Costa Rica.
Some programs require basic Spanish and some don’t.

Health insurance
All of our programs require participants to be have adequate health travel insurance.If you don’t have insurance already, you can get a quote through our partner Pro-trip world.

Spanish Lessons
In person Spanish lessons:
$290 per every 20 hour segment.
Online Spanish lessons:
$150 per every 10 hour segment.
