Guatemala is well known for its Mayan Ruins, massive volcanoes(some of them active volcanoes!), and rich culture. The other side of Guatemala is one of inequality, poverty, and underdevelopment. As a volunteer in Guatemala, you will be able to help change the country’s future by joining one of its many programs that work towards community development, education, wildlife preservation and more. The work of volunteers in Guatemala is very much appreciated by local projects as it brings extra hands on deck to tackle complex tasks in projects while bringing new ideas.

Programs are available from 2 weeks to 24 weeks(see each program’s details) in various fields with flexible dates.

Some programs require basic Spanish knowledge.

Programs are available from 2-24 weeks, although some programs have a minimum of a 4 week commitment.
Included in your program are housing, food, orientations, emergency support, transport from the airport, pre-departure support, and more.
Your fees go into paying our kind staff, teachers, legal fees, taxes, host families, your food, transportation, internet, phone bills, other utilities, maintenance, rental space, insurance, office supplies, the volunteer application process, emergency support, arranging and designing all of our programs, infrastructure, maintaining our website, making promotional material,and much much more.
But most importantly, these fees go into making sure you have a great experience and everything runs smoothly.
Spanish is the official language of this country.
Some programs require basic Spanish and some don’t.

In person Spanish lessons:
$200 per every 20 hour segment.
Online Spanish lessons:
$150 per every 10 hour segment.
