INLEX works in low-income neighborhoods where resources are very limited. These projects benefit from the work of volunteers, as most of the time, they are understaffed and underfunded. The childcare program is perfect for volunteers that are energetic, full of initiative, and creative; and the work is rewarding fun, and a great experience. If you have previous experience with children or education you can help implement new strategies to keep the kids learning throughout the whole day.
By joining our volunteer program in Guatemala, you have the incredible opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children from low-income communities. These small community daycares and centers rely on extra support to provide care for these precious little ones whose parents work tirelessly to provide for their families.
In this childcare program, you will be immersed in a transformative experience, dedicating around 6 hours per day from Monday to Friday. Your days will be filled with laughter, learning, and love as you engage with children ranging from 2-7 years old. With your energy and creativity, you will be able to keep them entertained through engaging songs, interactive games, and basic educational activities that nurture their young minds.
As you teach them numbers, colors, and letters, you are not just imparting knowledge but also empowering them with the tools they need for a brighter future. Your presence in their lives will bring joy and stability during the day when their parents are away at work. Together, we can create a nurturing environment where these children feel loved, valued, and supported.
