Volunteer in special education
The special education volunteering program aims to support the care and development of individuals that are mentally or physically disabled. Volunteers joining the program will be working alongside staff to maximize the opportunities for the development of the students in the project.
As a volunteer, you will be helping to teach basic skills like handicrafts, basic home education, music, educational games, and workshops.
Volunteers working in this program should be resourceful, patient and have a very happy disposition. People with backgrounds in psychology, therapy, and education are encouraged to apply to the special education program.

In Guatemala, the lack of accessible support for individuals with disabilities is a pressing issue. Recognizing this, INLEX has partnered with a special education project to provide vital assistance to those who cannot afford proper care. By joining the special education volunteering program, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of disabled students.
As a volunteer, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of like-minded individuals and experienced staff members. Together, you will create an inclusive and nurturing environment for the students under your care. From cooking nutritious meals to engaging in fun games, your presence and support will contribute to their overall well-being.
Your role extends beyond mere companionship. You will also assist in facilitating physical therapy sessions, ensuring that each student receives the specific care they require. By actively participating in these activities, you will not only enhance their physical abilities but also empower them to overcome challenges.
Maintaining a tidy and welcoming space is crucial for fostering a positive learning environment. Your contribution in keeping the place organized and inviting will further enhance the students’ experience. Through your dedication and commitment, you will help create a safe haven where they can thrive and reach their full potential.
Join us on this incredible journey of compassion and empowerment as we work together to make a difference in the lives of those with disabilities. Your time spent volunteering with INLEX’s special education program will not only be enriching for you personally but also an invaluable opportunity to contribute towards creating a more inclusive society.
