Volunteer in environmental conservation in Costa Rica

Play Video

The environmental conservation program in Costa Rica is comprised of a small network of natural reserves that aim to protect the flora, fauna and the overall ecosystem of the region.

By volunteering in one of these natural reserves. you will be working alongside a small team that works towards monitoring the park, improving the park and conducting different research projects that may include local wildlife, plants, and insects.

Other work includes maintenance tasks, greenhouse work, gardening, collection of various plant samples, monitoring and counting of various animal species, wildlife observation camera set up and retrieval, and guiding visitors in the park.

The environmental conservation program works in the areas around San Ramon and San Carlos. Due to the nature of this program, volunteers joining it must be relatively physically fit, enjoy the outdoors and be patient. All of the natural reserves are in the beautiful cloud forest ecosystem and are key to Costa Rica’s biodiversity.

Join our volunteer program in environmental conservation and help preserve our natural resources.

Working hours are usually 6 hours per day,5 days per week.
