Depending on your unique profile and skill set, you will be thoughtfully assigned to either a school or an after-school project, where you will have the privilege of working closely with children in two distinct age groups: 6-12 years old and 13-17 years old.
The schedule varies depending on your specific assignment, but rest assured, you will have the flexibility to have some time off as well. Each shift typically spans approximately 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday, aligning with the Costa Rican academic year, which commences in mid-February and concludes in mid-December. It is important to note that there is a well-deserved two-week break in July, allowing staff, volunteers and students to recharge and rejuvenate before continuing.
